SPANISH LANGUAGE DAY!

For Spanish language day we had home made Bizcochitos and Galletitas. Everyone was impressed by our Spanish Speaking cookies!

Students, faculty, staff and community members came to participate in our Spanish Sing-along!

FRENCH LANGUAGE DAY!

For French language day students from our French classes baked crêpes, apple and cherry custard and mousse, éclairs, cinnamon croissants, macaroons, chocolate bread (pain au chocolat), raspberry bollereaux (New Orleans-style tartines served with beignets), assorted cookies (bons-bons) .
We also had an amazing flute duet by some of our students!

GERMAN LANGUAGE DAY!

For German language day students from GER 102 baked amazing goodies.

We also had a visit from President Garcia!

ITALIAN LANGUAGE DAY!

For Italian language day we had one of our students who sings opera perform for us. It was very moving! We also had home baked Italian cookies.

It was so wonderful to see our great friends Walt and Alda West!

PRIVATE FUNDRAISER

Earlier in the semester we had a private fundraiser to raise money for our Foreign Language Fund. Pueblo community members came together to help us with our Language Center renovation. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

The CSU-P Foreign Language Fund

Welcome to the Foreign Languages Fund Blog from Colorado State University - Pueblo!

The fund's purpose is to support projects and activities that create opportunities where students and community members can come ogether through the sharing of Foreign Languages in order to achieve mutual benefits.

The fund will support projects and activities such as:

Building the Language Center
Supporting programs and activities at the Language Center
Sponsoring special community outreach activities

Providing scholarships for study abroad for deserving students
Providing professional development opportunities for Foreign Language teachers from the university and the community.

We are currently conducting various fundraisers in order to complete our first project: The transformation of our obsolete Language Lab into a beautiful Language Center.
